| Following a decision by Cathay Pacific Airways to outsource its
data processing, IBM Global Services Australia leased the airline's Norwest Data Centre. A
joint venture between IBM, Lend Lease and Telstra. IBM relocated its Geoplex Command Centre to the Norwest site which now also serves other major clients such as Prudential Corporation and Mercantile Mutual. The Command Centre requires up to 100 staff per shift for its 24 hours per day, 365 days per year operations. |
